Welcome to the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment's Virtual Gallery

This virtual gallery is part of the main Keep Military Museum web site. Here we celebrate the forty eight year existence of a regiment that was held in the highest esteem, within both the military and the Counties of Devon and Dorset.

We aim to make available the essence of Regiment's history; its service, achievements and its traditions, which were rooted in its forbears, the Devonshire Regiment and the Dorset Regiment. This site, of course, compliments a gallery in the Keep Military Museum in Dorchester, which will open in April 2008.

An archive of documents will shortly be available and will be added too over time, not least by members of the Regiment contributing and sharing their experiences. It is intended that this resources will be available to scholars, academics family historians in perpetuity. More specific enquiries can, however, still be submitted to the Keep Military Museum's research service.
